Job Description: Repairs, tests, installs, configures, upgrades and assists in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software. Conducts functional tests of training device systems. Participates with external agencies in the conduct of simulator certification, Acceptance Test Procedures and Automated/Manual Test Guides. Assists engineers in troubleshooting systems and support equipment.

Qualifications and Competencies: Complete knowledge of electronics and electro-mechanical assemblies and the ability to perform complex problem solving. Complete knowledge of integrated computer systems and associated peripherals to include printers, media storage, and interface cards. Demonstrates the ability to perform data back up and restoration, diagnostics, configuration control and problem solving of the system. Complete understanding and knowledge of engineering data (e.g., blueprints, data sets, specifications, logic diagrams, electrical circuit schematics) to interpret, analyze, and develop data for support requirements. Skill and ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources at the department level. Knowledge of infrastructure architecture used to account for and correctly archive documents.

Education: A degree in related discipline and 3 to 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
